Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Notes4Pets application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and GEDEONWEB, operated by Gérald Jakubczak ("we", "our", "us").

2. Description of Service

Notes4Pets is a mobile application designed to help pet owners manage their pets' health and daily life. The App provides the following features:

• Pet profile management (name, species, breed, birth date, personality)
• Health record tracking (vaccines, treatments, veterinary visits, weight history)
• Life journal with photos and mood tracking
• Smart reminders and push notifications
• PDF export of health records
• Family sharing for collaborative pet management

The App is available in French, English, Spanish, and German, and automatically adapts to the device language.

3. User Account

To use Notes4Pets, you must create an account using one of the following methods:

• Email and password registration
• Sign in with Apple
• Sign in with Google

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account by contacting support@notes4pets.app.

4. Subscriptions and Pricing

Notes4Pets offers the following plans:

4.1 Auto-Renewal

All subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

4.2 Managing Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings on your device: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.

4.3 Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, the unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Family Sharing

The Family plan allows the account owner to invite up to 5 members to share pet data collaboratively.

• The family owner manages invitations via an invite code
• Each member maintains their own account and personal data
• Members share access to the family's pet data
• If a member leaves the family or the plan expires, they revert to the Free plan

6. Use of Photos and Content

The App allows you to upload photos using your device camera or photo library. These photos are used exclusively for personalization purposes within the App:

• Illustrating your pet's profile
• Enriching journal entries and health records
• Setting your user profile picture

Your photos are never shared publicly, never used for advertising purposes, and never analyzed or processed for any purpose other than displaying them within your personal account. Photos are stored securely on Firebase Cloud Storage and are only accessible to you and any family members you explicitly invite.

7. Acceptable Use

When using Notes4Pets, you agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the App
• Use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Create multiple accounts to bypass Free plan limitations
• Share your account credentials with others
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The Notes4Pets application, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and all associated content, is the exclusive property of GEDEONWEB / Gérald Jakubczak and is protected by French and international intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all content you create within the App (pet data, journal entries, photos). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

9. Disclaimer — Not Veterinary Advice

Notes4Pets is a management and organizational tool. The health information stored in the App is provided by you and is not verified by medical professionals.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the App: Settings > Delete my account.

Account deletion is irreversible and results in the permanent removal of all your data, including:

• User profile and account information
• All pet profiles and associated data
• Health records, journal entries, and reminders
• All uploaded photos and documents

Data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days of account deletion.

11. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Notes4Pets. Users under 16 years of age must have parental or guardian consent to create an account and use the App.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GEDEONWEB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

• The use or inability to use the App
• Loss of data due to technical issues
• Temporary service interruptions for maintenance
• Actions of third-party services (Firebase, Apple)

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We will notify users of significant changes through the App. Continued use of Notes4Pets after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Applicable Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with French law. Any disputes arising from the use of Notes4Pets shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
